The Pitcher Pump Bed and Breakfast is located Columbus, in the southeast corner of Kansas. Columbus is only half an hour drive from Pittsburg, Kansas, Miami, Oklahoma, and Joplin, Missouri. The bed and breakfast is located just blocks away from the historic downtown square. Just north of Columbus you will find some of the best hunting and fishing in the Midwest. Be sure to visit the beautiful Mined Land Wildlife Area. Famous Big Brutus, the largest electric shovel in the world used for coal mining, rests only seven miles away.
The house was built in 1921 and has recently been converted to a charming bed and breakfast. It boasts two bedrooms, each accommodating a queen size bed. An upstairs sitting room has the ambiance of an old-fashioned cabin and two cheerful sun porches perfect for curling up with a book.

You will feel that you are in the country as you sit and relax on the large deck or walk the boardwalk, which meanders around the house surrounded by greenery and lovely flowers. The deck overlooks a charming fishpond with a waterfall, a lovely water garden, and an antique pitcher pump. An old-fashioned tree swing is suspended from a large tree in the backyard. The front porch has a bench swing where one can sit, relax and watch the world go by.
